Daniel Kebede
A sculptor, Daniel Kebede is an elementary art and physical education teacher at a private school in the Seattle, Washington area. A graduate of the University of Alabama, Daniel serves on the board of directors of the Ethiopian Community in Seattle and was a founding member of the board of the Ethiopian Arts Society in North America (EASNA). In addition to studying sculpture and photography at the University of Alabama, he studied art in Australia and Japan as well. He is a member of the Meklit Ethiopian writing group and has written a book in Amharic about the works of art that he has created. The book, The One Who Talks to the Stone, will be released in summer 2025. Daniel also coaches tennis and golf, offering private and group lessons.
Jeanette Kebede
Jeanette Kebede is a design aficionado who enjoys coaching tennis and fitness walking. She is a Certified Association Executive, with more than 25 years of experience working for not-for-profit organizations. While living in Japan, she designed and taught educational and cultural programs in Japanese. She is a Certified Gallup Strengths Coach, a graduate of Leadership Eastside’s Community Leadership Enrichment Program, and holds degrees in Economics, East Asian Studies, and Commercial Diplomacy.
